Seasonal Weight Gain

Worried about that seasonal weight gain. Maybe a couple tips can help you limit some of the unwanted pounds.

Tip 1- eat a high protein breakfast. 30 grams of protein is ideal. When in doubt drink a protein shake.

Tip 2- drink plenty of water. Drinking water throughout the day can help curb the cravings. 1/2 oz of water per lb of weight should be the goal.

Tip 3- don't beat yourself up. We all need to enjoy ourselves and our bodies are meant fluctuate weight. As long as you are managing the weight and accepting that a couple extra pounds are okay for the season it will be fine.

Tip 4- Be Smart. To avoid weight gain over the Christmas holidays is to avoid the breads and sugary foods. Carbohydrates are the enemy. Find a substitute. Pumpkin pie is much better than caramel pie.
